About us

We’re studying a problem we ran into ourselves.

AI gave our teams more capacity to produce. It also exposed how many decisions, handoffs, controls and management habits were designed for a world where production—not judgment—was scarce.

Why H+AI Work

The tools changed. The organization didn’t.

Knowledge work can now be produced in minutes. But producing more analysis, recommendations and scenarios does not automatically produce better decisions.

The bottleneck moves: toward specification, validation, prioritization, coordination and accountability. Managers inherit more output than the organization can intelligently absorb.

We started H+AI Work to understand that shift with the leaders experiencing it—and to develop practical ways to redesign workflows around human judgment and AI capacity.

Working hypotheses

What we are testing with operators.

01

Local productivity is not organizational productivity.

People can produce more and faster while company-level throughput, revenue, or decision speed remains unchanged.

02

Abundant output creates a new management load.

More analyses and recommendations increase the work of validating, prioritizing, coordinating, and deciding.

03

Workflow redesign determines the return.

Access to AI matters less than redesigning triggers, handoffs, controls, decision rights, and accountability.

04

Human judgment should operate by exception.

The scalable model routes people the decisions, risks, and edge cases where accountability creates the most value.

Research approach

How we are testing the thesis.

01

Start with work

We study the actual workflow, not the AI tool in isolation.

02

Measure the constraint

We look for cycle time, rework, review burden and decision latency.

03

Build with operators

The methodology develops alongside leaders working through the problem.

Founding research team

Complementary experience for an organizational problem.

This is not a collection of AI résumés. It is a working team spanning growth, workforce transformation, finance, innovation and systems architecture—the functions that have to come together when work itself changes.
